The Muslim Community of Dominica, since its establishment, has been pro-active in the development of spirituality and moral standards in the community. This is achieved through a wide range of activities including educational lectures, study circles, seminars, events for Men, Women, and children of all ages.
Key Activities
- Wednesday Study Circle For Brothers :
This usually held between Maghrib and Esha. Focus on key Islamic texts and Books of Tafsir.
- Saturday Classes for Sisters:
Our Muslim sisters have weekly classes where they expand upon their knowledge of the religion and have open Q&A sessions.
- Children Quran Classes:
The Community has remained consistent with Quran classes for children (every Saturday): Memorization and Tajweed.
- New Muslim Classes:
There are focused classes on teaching new reverts about the principles of Islam. There is an emphasis on Tawheed, Salah and Reading Quran.
- Lectures by Guest Speakers:
We regularly organize lectures in Roseau and Portsmouth (at the masjid there for a larger audience) visiting Students’ of Knowlege or guest speakers if they are on the island.
