With community support and help we hope to contribute positively to the cultural and spiritual fabric of Dominica.

The Muslim Community of Dominica (MCD) offers classes for all ages on how to read the Qur’an (In Arabic, English translations are available), religious learning circles, Da’wah programmes and other community services to meet the spiritual needs of the Muslims on the Island.

Matrimonial Services

You can get married under Islamic law and receive an official nikah certificate that’s produced by the Imam.

Funeral Janazah Burial

Funeral services (Janāzah) are arranged via the Imam. The washing and shrouding of the body are at the funeral home.

For those wanting advice or help in all matters of their day-to-day life, the community is here to support you.

Becoming A Muslim

Are you interested in knowing about Islam and becoming a Muslim? The MCD will help you embrace this way of life.

Community Outreach

Our Dawah / Community outreach programs include; radio programs, village visits, charity, feeding the poor and etc..

Spiritual Development

The community facilitates regular activities including educational lectures, study circles, seminars and etc..

  • Abu Bakr reported that Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said:

    The biggest of the great sins are: To join others in worship with Allah, to be undutiful to one's parents, and to give a false witness." He repeated it thrice, or said, "....a false statement," and kept on repeating that warning till we wished he would stop saying it.

  • Abu Hurairah reported that Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said:

    Let whosoever believes in Allah and in the Last Day either speak good or remain silent. Let whosoever believes in Allah and in the Last Day honour his neighbour. Let whosoever believes in Allah and in the Last Day honour his guest.
    Reference : Sahih Bukhari & Muslim
