The Religion of Islam

The word Islam comes from the Arabic word aslama, meaning peace and submission to God

Allah is the Arabic word for God, used by Muslims and Arabic speaking Christians before Islam.

The five Pillars; Shahada: Faith, Salat: Prayer, Zakāt: Charity, Sawm: Fasting, Hajj: Pilgrimage to Mecca.

Islam has six fundamental beliefs, known as the ‘Six Articles of Faith, and they are its main doctrines.

Testify that there is no one worthy of worship, except God, and that Muhammad is His final messenger.

Good etiquette play a pivotal role in Islam as shown to us by the Prophet (ﷺ) and his companions.

Islam gave women the right to education, to choose their spouse, to retain their identity after marriage.

Islam commands us to honor our parents, obey them, respect their opinion, and seek their pleasure.

Everything is allowed except what is expressly forbidden which harms health, character or religion.

All forms of entertainment are permissible if they lie in the bounds of Halal (lawful) in Quran and hadith.
