Cleanliness in Islam - Evidence From Quran

As a complete and comprehensive way of life, it is no surprise that Islam would include guidelines on cleanliness and how to do everything that has benefit for the human being. In a time when people are in fear about the Corona Virus, many precautionary measures are being taken, by people and whole nations. While these guidelines may seem new and strange to some, many of these measures are familiar to the Muslim who lives according to the Quran and the guidance of the final Messenger Muhammad.

Islam does not only guide us to that which is correct in the issue of cleanliness of body and our physical state but includes spiritual cleanliness as well, however I will mention here some proofs from the Qur’an and Sunnah that gives us guidelines about physical cleanliness specifically. This is by no means a comprehensive list, but a small glimpse of the various guidelines to be found in this great way of life. I begin here by quoting some verses from the Noble Quran which includes rulings of cleanliness in a general way.
